US dancer. She studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy and at the Juilliard School and performed with the Martha Graham company (1974–5). In 1975 she joined Tharp's company as a dancer and in 1988 was also appointed soloist with American Ballet Theatre in association with Tharp. She retired from the stage in 1991 since when she has staged many of Tharp's works, for the Royal Ballet, Australian Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and Rambert Dance Company, among others.
