an American monthly magazine founded in Chicago. In 1916 it came under the influence of Pound, who was foreign editor from 1917 to 1919; it published Yeats, W. Lewis, T. S. Eliot, F. M. Ford, and, notably, from 1918, chapters of Joyce's Ulysses. It later became a quarterly published from Paris (1924–9), including work by Hemingway, Cummings, H. Crane, etc.
