Gittins Report (1967)
Published under the title Primary Education in Wales, the Report presented the findings of an examination into primary education in Wales and of the transition of pupils to the secondary phase. Like the Plowden Report, it argued for a system of first and middle schools to help ease the difficulties of transition. It also argued for the inclusion of Welsh into the curriculum of all Welsh schools as either a first or second language. See also Wales, education in.
