The Southeast Asian Games are a multi-sport festival for the eleven nations of the region. The games are held every two years and incorporate both international sports and sports whose popularity is mainly in Southeast Asia. Thailand has dominated the games both in the number of times it has hosted the event and in the total number of medals won through 2011. Myanmar, emerging from decades of brutal military rule, is scheduled to host the event in December of 2013. ...
