Maccabiah (Hebrew: מַכַּבִּיָה) is an international Jewish athletic event, held in Israel every four years and governed by the Maccabi Federation. The Maccabiah Games serve as a vehicle for Jewish national ideals such as immigration and love of Israel. The goal of the games is not to strive for world records, but rather to attract the largest possible number of Jewish participants to Israel from around the world. ...
