Acronym for Transfer Accounting Lodgement for Investors and Stock Management. This was the London Stock Exchange computerized transfer system, which covered most UK securities; it also covered claims for dividends on shares being transferred. It was operated by a company set up for the purpose, the Stock Exchange Pool Nominees (SEPON) Ltd. It was replaced by the Bank of England CREST system in 1996.
