A UK agreement that allowed publishers to fix the retail prices of their books. This was an exception to the general prohibition of resale price maintenance. It was argued that the agreement helped to keep small and specialized booksellers in business, and was thus good for the reading public. The Net Book Agreement was abandoned in 1995.
