British dancer and teacher. He studied with Cecchetti, N. Legat, and Egorova and went on to partner Pavlova (1925–30). He then danced with Le Chauve-Souris and with Nemchinova and Oboukhoff. In 1943 he founded his own company and from 1947 taught in New York.
