Overview
employee resourcing
Quick Reference
Is that element of human resource management concerned with obtaining and retaining a workforce with the necessary skills, competences, values, attitudes, and other attributes. As such, it is akin to other generic HR activities, such as employee development, reward management, and employee relations. Employee resourcing embraces a number of critical HR activities, including human resource planning, recruitment, selection, retention, and the range of processes that govern the exit or release of employees from employment. Included in employee resourcing are decisions about the proportions of employees who should be employed under different types of employment contract: that is, the proportions of full-time to part-time, temporary to permanent, and directly employed to subcontracted labour.
