mātṛkā 

(Skt.; Pāli, mātikā). A rubric or tabulated summary of contents used in the philosophical sections of the books of the Abhidharma Piṭaka. Originally a Vinaya term, used in the singular (Pāli, mātikā), it meant a keyword. Used in the plural (also mātikā), it means the keywords for a topic, and hence a list.
