His conversion by St Paul at Athens is recorded in Acts 17: 34. Dionysius (2) of Corinth calls him the first bishop of the Church at Athens. Later, confusion was caused by the attempt to identify Dionysius (3) of Paris with him, and to assign to him the writings on mystical theology described below under (6).... ...
