A term used in relation to organizational culture to refer to the human-made entities that indicate the culture. Artefacts represent the observable aspects of a culture. Examples include organizational rituals and ceremonies, organizational stories, logos and slogans, uniforms, buildings, and organizational processes. These symbolize the organizational culture which can be perceived by those within and outside the organization and influence its public image.
