Aesthetics can include how bodies look and move during performances and how long traditions of rituals for each sport are maintained, among other factors. Due to the presence of rules and ideals of fairness, participation in sport is an activity unique to humans as a species. The availability of sport and the pleasure in participation and viewing are sharply reduced, though, if expectations of fairness are not met or there are failures of compliance to the traditions of the sport.
