The X Games are a global sports competition founded and organized by the ESPN media company. The Games feature high-risk “extreme” sports such as skateboarding and BMX racing, although some of these sports are now considered mainstream. These sports, and the music and entertainment that are part of the X Games experience, appeal especially to youth culture around the world.
