Wakeskating is an adaptation of the water sport of wakeboarding, incorporating elements of skateboarding. By definition a wakeskate is a smaller wakeboard without foot bindings. The lack of foot support gives the sport its own unique challenges. Wakeskating tricks are inherently more technical than wakeboarding tricks and are based firmly on skateboarding.
