Originally known as “skurfing,” wakeboarding is a popular water sport that combines aspects of water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing. Wakeboarders stand sideways on the board, secured by foot straps, and are pulled behind a boat using a towline. Wakeboarders use the wake as a makeshift ramp, allowing them to gain air-time and perform technical tricks or maneuvers such as back flips, rolls, and 360-degree spins. ...
