Father's Day.

A day devoted to fathers in the annual calendar, falling on the third Sunday in June. Britain imported the occasion from the United States, where it was devised by Mrs John Bruce Dodd of Spokane, Washington, in 1910 as a counterpart to Mother's Day. It was not widely observed, however, until almost a quarter of a century later.
