Small red chillies (see pepper) about 1 cm long, extremely pungent. Piri-piri seasoning is Portuguese: crushed chillies, citrus peel, onion, garlic, pepper, salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, pimiento, basil, oregano, and tarragon.
