Abraham, 

the Old Testament patriarch whose story is told in Genesis 11:27–25:18. He was traditionally held to be the image of faith; however, the only reference to him in Chaucer concerns his marital arrangements—the Wife of Bath cites him (III.55) as one of those holy men who ‘hadde wyves mo [more] than two’.
